My father has had surgery on four different occasions for a mortons neuroma. A large item fell onto the top of his foot crushing the nerves. He has had the nerve redirected but still has pain and swelling of the foot and leg, even though his last surgery was almost a year ago. Now he has developed a condition his doctor refers to as veneous stasis disease. However, his doctor has stated that this disease is not related to nor caused by the initial development of the neuroma or the crushed nerve. Is this the correct opinion or is the current disease related to the recurring neuromas he experiences? Could you suggest some articles or other publications which I might locate and read on this subject?
